Water tank retaining frame
This galvanised zinc steel frame is made with CE standard struts that have been tested to construction industry standards for load bearing.
The frame has pre-drilled holes in the base to accommodate a huge variety of anchor bolt positions on your van floor.
Should you wish too, you will easily be able to attach all of the purifying system without drilling through the frame. Separate spring nuts are supplied to allow the user to do this.
Once installed, the tank can still easily be removed if needed by unbolting the support straps.
We are aware that a large majority of the window cleaning trade operate their vehicle on a daily basis with nothing other then a ratchet strap holding 250l (1/4 tonne) of water. The Cleaning Warehouse is offering a cost conscious way of avoiding this lethal trap.
This kit comes in 3 easy to put together pieces for either your mechanic to install or any competent person.
Please note that this kit is for the frame only and no bolts come with this kit so please pop down to your local hardware shop. Our recommendation is a minimum of 6 bolts for secure fitting.

It’s a retaining frame designed to securely hold a 500 litre flat water tank — typically used in vans, trailers or fixed installations for water‑fed pole systems and other cleaning rigs.

The frame keeps your flat tank stable and prevents it moving, tipping or sliding around in transit — much safer and more secure than using straps alone.

It’s built from galvanised zinc steel with CE‑standard struts, giving it strong load‑bearing capacity and corrosion resistance for regular trade use.
4. What tank will it fit?
This frame fits flat water tanks up to ~500 litres, and is designed specifically for Wydale tanks of that size (check your tank model if different).
5. Does the tank come with the frame?
No — this frame is sold on its own. The water tank itself is not included and must be purchased separately.
6. How is it installed?
The frame arrives semi‑assembled with instructions and splits into easy‑to‑put‑together pieces for installation. You bolt the frame to your van floor or base using anchor bolts (not included).
7. Do bolts and fixings come with it?
No — bolts are not supplied with this frame kit. It’s recommended you get at least a minimum of 6 appropriate anchor bolts from a hardware shop to secure it.
8. Can I mount other equipment on the frame?
Yes — the design allows you to attach other water‑fed system components (like pumps or filters) without drilling through the frame, using the supplied separate spring nuts.
9. Can the tank still be removed once installed?
Yes — once the frame is fitted and the tank is strapped in, you can still remove the tank easily if needed by unbolting the support straps.
10. Who is this frame ideal for?
It’s ideal for window cleaners, mobile valeters and other tradespeople transporting a large 500 L water tank in a van or trailer and wanting a more secure, professional mount than just straps.
